Management, BSBA

The Management major helps students become thoughtful, innovative and effective leaders—people who know how to bring out the best in others and guide teams and organizations to success. Students learn how to navigate everyday workplace challenges, analyze tough problems, and find real-world solutions, as well as learn about the future of work, innovation and the application of emerging technologies in the management space. The courses combine the latest research with practical, hands-on learning and reflect the Jesuit traditions of care for the whole person and service to others.

The major builds the skills that employers consistently rank as most important for new graduate hires - the ability to communicate complex ideas, work effectively on teams and with a range of individuals, and think critically. As such, students enter careers in consulting, finance, technology, consumer packaged goods, sports management, and the government and nonprofit sectors. Many students double major, combining Management with Finance, Accounting or Operations and Analytics, creating a potent combination of technical skills and sought-after interpersonal capabilities.
