Associate Professor and Program Director

The Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) program is an online Master of Science in Nursing (MS) program designed for registered nurses with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree or CNL/entry-level MS in Nursing who are interested in primary care, promoting health and preventing disease. Students can choose between full- and part-time enrollment on this program, depending on what best suits their needs. Once certified, graduates of Georgetown’s FNP program are equipped to take on clinical leadership roles and provide family-centered primary care.

As students progress through Georgetown’s FNP program, they are prepared to acquire the competencies to assess and manage common acute and chronic illnesses, promote health and wellness, and prevent disease. Through a blend of asynchronous didactic content, synchronous class sessions, and in-person Objective Clinical Intensives (OCIs), this distance-based, online FNP prepares APRNs to pursue board certification and credentialing

Academic Policies

Additional academic policies governing the Family Nurse Practitioner program can be found in the program handbook.
