Biohazardous Threat Agents & Emerging Infectious Diseases, Graduate Certificate
The Online Certificate in Biohazardous Threat Agents & Emerging Infectious Diseases is a 12- credit certificate program focusing on critical concepts of biological threats to health security. The curriculum covers classic biological threat agents as well as the future of global health security, bioterrorism, homeland security, and preparedness and response to CBRN threats. Graduates of our program are employed in both public health and security-focused positions across government, academia, and private sector organizations.
The program provides full-time working professionals an opportunity to build their knowledge base on emerging threats across the biological, chemical, and nuclear security spheres. Students will graduate with an official Georgetown Certificate as well as a transcript from Georgetown University. Credits earned from the certificate can be applied to the master’s program in Biohazardous Threat Agents & Emerging Infectious Diseases or the Ph.D. program in Microbiology & Immunology.
