Physiology & Biophysics (Special Master's Program), MS
The one-year Special Master’s Program (SMP) in Physiology & Biophysics is tailored to college graduates who wish to strengthen their credentials for application to U.S. medical schools. Faculty provide lifetime advising and are invested in providing training, resources, and personalized career strategies to help students reach their goals.
The majority of the curriculum consists of medical courses, mirroring the Georgetown University School of Medicine new medical curriculum. Students learn alongside Georgetown M-1 medical students, receiving the same exams and grading structure. Complementing the medical coursework are graduate courses in an active learning format, allowing students to hone their academic skills before entering medical school and to broaden their understanding of biomedical subjects.
