The Addiction and Policy Practice program is a course of study that provides a unique combination of training that brings together the fields of public policy, neuroscience, psychiatry, epidemiology, and social sciences. Graduates of the program emerge with a versatile skill set, poised to contribute meaningfully to evidence-based interventions, strategies, and policy development.

Academic Policies

The academic policies and procedures of the Addiction Policy and Practice program are those specified in the Georgetown University Bulletin, in the SOH Graduate Student Handbook, and in the ADPP Academic Handbook.

The M.S. in Addiction Policy and Practice program is designed to be completed in one year. Students must complete 27 credits from core courses, a mentored capstone experience, and integrative seminars. The remaining three credits are a policy elective chosen by the student and approved by the Program Director.
