The Executive MBA program is uniquely positioned to prepare students as leaders who understand the existing complexities of today’s business challenges at the nexus of commerce, government, and policy. The program is differentiated by an inspiriting curriculum steeped in global management and the understanding of external factors such as government and international institutions and organizations that influence global markets. The belief that business can be used as a force for positive change in the world underscores the program’s distinctive approach to the teaching of ethical leadership, and our choice of 10 electives offers greater flexibility for students to customize their professional skill-set in today’s global marketplace.

Academic Policies

To maintain good academic standing and to graduate, students must have a minimum grade point average of 3.000 and a maximum of one failing grade in any class. The EMBA Program Office monitors ongoing academic progress and performance after each semester. Students work with their Program Advisor to review their situation, formulate a plan to improve your performance moving forward, and stay in touch about the steps they are taking. Resources such as faculty office hours, tutors, and counseling are also available. AGPA under 3.000 during the program can also affect eligibility for program scholarships and federal financial aid and loans.

Program Requirements

Students must complete a total of 54 graduate-level credits to earn the EMBA degree. The required core curriculum in accounting, finance, strategy, ethics, leadership, marketing, and a global capstone account for 34.75 credits.

The core curriculum includes a global residency in which students explore a pressing business problem facing a real international company. Each cohort will meet remotely with your client, then travel abroad to deliver recommendations to senior leadership of the organization.

Additionally, you and your cohort will complete a global capstone—a student-designed, in- country field research-based project that integrates the EMBA curriculum and you explore and investigate practical challenges of global strategy through analysis of global industries and environments.

The remaining 19.25 credits are electives in which EMBA students may customize their program to their unique interests. Electives vary based upon the composition of the cohort, faculty recommendations, and key business issues of the time.
