The Master of Science in Environment and Sustainability Management (ESM) is a jointly offered degree that blends scientific knowledge with business principles —a powerful combination that will enable you to decisively address looming environmental threats and help build a more sustainable future within almost any organization.
The Earth Commons Institute, along with the McDonough School of Business and the Graduate School of Arts & Sciences, created this degree with the understanding that science and business principles are both critical to achieving sustainability goals across the globe. The program’s unique curriculum combines a foundation of environmental science and business management, delivering the comprehensive knowledge that you need to become a principled leader in environment and sustainability.
Academic Policies
For being awarded a MS in Environment and Sustainability Management, students must successfully complete the 30-credit course work with an accumulative GPA no less than 3.0 on a 4.0 scale. To be in good academic standing over the period of studies, ESM students are required to maintain an average GPA no less than 3.0. Any probation and dismissal will follow the Graduate School’s policy and guidance.
