The Master of Science in Biochemistry & Molecular Biology program reinforces core concepts of biochemistry and molecular biology as applied to biomedical sciences and biotechnology. The program offers a choice of different hands-on advanced lab-based courses, flexible electives, as well as an intensive research internship. Through a rigorous and challenging curriculum, students are prepared for future academic endeavors and biomedical careers.
This program is offered through Biomedical Graduate Education (BGE) at Georgetown University School of Medicine.
Students are required to complete 30 credits of coursework, including 19 credits of core courses and 11 credits of electives.
Students must take 19 core credits of required courses, including one course each in Biochemistry, Laboratory Methods, Cell Culture, Bioinformatics, Lab Applications, and Advanced Lecture/Lab.
