The McCourt School of Public Policy is a community of global citizens dedicated to advancing public policy for the common good. Located at Georgetown University’s Capitol Campus in the heart of Washington, D.C., the McCourt School brings together scholars, practitioners, and students to address complex policy challenges and prepare the next generation of public policy leaders.
The McCourt School conducts policy-relevant research and builds connections between scholarship and the communities it serves. Its faculty and researchers include distinguished scholars, teachers, and leading practitioners whose work spans critical issues in public policy. The School’s research centers, institutes, and initiatives further extend its impact by producing scholarship and engaging in research designed to inform policy and address pressing challenges.
McCourt offers undergraduate and graduate education in public policy. Its academic programs prepare students to design, analyze, and implement effective policy across the public, private, nonprofit, and international sectors. The School also offers opportunities for interdisciplinary study and collaboration across Georgetown University.
The McCourt School is grounded in Georgetown’s Jesuit tradition and its commitment to the common good, human dignity, justice, and peace. The School seeks to foster an inclusive community in which students, faculty, and staff can engage thoughtfully across differences and develop the knowledge, analytical skills, and practical experience necessary to contribute to effective public policy.
