Finance
The finance major provides a comprehensive background in the areas of corporate finance, investments, derivatives, and financial institutions in a global environment. Elective courses are offered in specialized fields such as investment banking, private equity, international finance, fixed income, real estate finance, and financial statement analysis.
Many finance graduates accept positions with top investment banks and leading commercial banks. Other finance graduates accept employment in corporate and government financial management or in consulting. Finance majors are also well prepared for graduate study, such as in business, finance, or law.
Curriculum
In addition to completing courses in the business core, students must complete 15 credits in the area of Finance. All FINC courses are 1.5 credits, meeting for seven weeks during the semester.
